Reusing Food Waste: Starch Based McDonald’s Packaging

A Semester Long study, this new packaging for McDonald’s focuses on reducing as much paper, cardboard, and pre-consumer wasted food in the total system of McDonalds. By using, recycling, and reprocessing old french fries that have been “sitting” for longer than the 7 minute time limit under a heat lamp, it can be turned into starch based paper and reduce paper use by 23%.
